What did I get myself into?

You might remember that My Goat is a JERK! We really had no idea what we were getting into. Really! I knew it was a bad idea to fence in the "yard" and have the goats around the house. Sure, we are going to tear it down. We are building a new house. While we are actually living here, though, it was an even worse idea than I thought it was. That is saying a lot!!! I think every idea my husband has it the worst possible idea with the most horrible consequences.

My cynicism has totally underestimated this horrible idea..... It is just a bad idea... Here let me show you why.

Above you will see Huck looking through my redneck glass window on my front door. He broke it, and I duct taped it. Then he broke it some more.... The glass fell out and we replaced it with plexi glass.. Ha HA! Mother Brother! Gotcha.... Now you break it!!! Yeah! so I thought....

Then my dear Huck started to charge the door and ram it with his horns when he wanted to play, eat, play, play, or was lonely...... He would hit the door, when it was locked, until it opened in the middle of the night. Then he would come in the house and walk around until the dogs barking would wake us up. We would take him back out and do it all over again... He charged the door so much that this happened:

But wait there's more!!! Below, you will see where the siding on my house use to be.... It's not there anymore because Huck wanted to tear it down.... and he did. He is the best goat ever. We have got to figure out something for him, or he will be leaving.

Moral of the story:

Male Goats will destroy your Home.... Oh! and I have NO idea what I am doing!!!

We are just eggstatic!!!

As you may know, we jumped into raising farm animals with goats and chickens.

Chickens were a fantastic idea! They are so easy to take care of and so sweet. Out of our 20 chickens, we are getting anywhere from 14 to 16 eggs a day. It is fantastic. Home raised eggs taste SO much better than store bought!!! We have also been lucky enough to sell our extra eggs to neighbors and church friends! What a wonderful adventure.

Not only are we lucky enough to provide food for our families, but we are now adding a small income to our bank accounts. Cool!

The neatest thing happened a few days ago. Tater bug was making herself scrambled eggs for breakfast and started screaming at the top of her lungs!!! I just knew she had hurt herself, or had caught something on fire.

I jumped from my chair and tore into the kitchen to find out what was going on. Well, as it turns out.... nothing was wrong. I really have to teach her about emotional control. She freaks out over nothing, and gives me regular heart attacks.

This is what she showed me:

We had gotten our first double yolked egg. Of course, my children keep calling them oaks. That was cool.

This is just one of many things that has happened around our home in the past few weeks.

What has been happening in your neck of the woods?

I don't even know where to start....

I am so lost at where to actually begin. My computer contracted a nasty virus or two. It was so bad that the tech guy told me to take it to Best Buy from now on. Awesome! Yes, I am that talented!

So much has happened over the past 2 weeks or so. I have pics that are stuck on my camera. I need a new transfer cord. I might just retake a few with my crappy camera on the cell phone. That way I can get to posting. At any rate... You can expect quite a few posts over the next week or 2 or 3... So get ready.....
